ROSE SHORROCK

Rose is an abstract artist living and working in Marlborough,Wiltshire.

Rose has juggled her career as a professional artist alongside teaching History of Art at Marlborough College, since she arrived as Artist in Residence in 1999.  

​

For over 20 years, Rose has exhibited her bright abstracts extensively across the UK with great success. 

 

Her paintings are about colour. She uses her own language of marks to create new spaces for the viewer to explore. She is inspired by a variety of things ranging from the landscape of Wilshire, Greece and Cornwall, as well as books, flowers, textures and everyday objects.
